No More Mocass!!!

Now most of you are probably thinking that I have finally lost and have no idea what I wrote in my title, but you couldn't be more off base. I knew exactly what I wrote, and I meant it. Me being the marvelous and magnificent mother that I am thought that I would DVR some Disney movies for Ethan to enjoy. The first of which being Pocahontas. Really good Disney movie right? I thought so too until I watched it every morning noon and night since I DVR'd(sorry not a word) it. Ethan used to be addicted to Scooby Doo movies and I thought that was bad enough. But at least there were different episodes that I could watch with it. Pocahontas never changes. She still jumps off an extremely high cliff, and does a perfect dive without breaking her neck at the same point every time I see the movie. Grandmother Willow is still talking to her, which I came to my own conclusion about that, but it is for another time and another place. So back to the original title, Ethan can't quite say Pocahontas so he calls it Mocass! Ha ha. And then there is Kocoum which is known as Cocoa. So here is my plea to keep my sanity. Help me find another movie. Even Veggie Tales Little Joe is better. At least in that show there is a strangely catchy song about not having a belly button. That's all I have for now, Michelle and Ashlee if you are lucky maybe I will write another blog in a month. ;)

Happy 4th!!!!

So I came back to Idaho to celebrate the 4th with mom and the Washburns. The beginning of the day started as the usual McNichol holiday. LATE FOR EVERYTHING!!! Oh well. That's what makes holidays fun around here. I would like to say that we had a pleasant little picnic at the park followed by a leisurely nap in the shade, but alas NO. Relay Race Time! Could the contestants please pick up their weapon of choice and shovel the food in as fast as possible. Then make your way from the picnic table to your cars and speed to Menan so you don't miss the fantastically slow parade. Now when I say slow I mean 10 minutes in between each float. There even came a point that the last float was so far behind that everyone packed up and made their way to their cars only to be pelted in the back by the remaining candy from the laggers of the parade. But Ethan and Bennett did enjoy the music and candy. Ashlee and I decided that we would enroll Ethan in some Hip Hop lessons. I however decided Bennett would be much more suitable for Lyrical!! Ashlee did forget her camera so I will pick up the slack and show how prepared I was. Ashlee these pictures are for you so you can remember the day.

Ethan and I at the Parade

Jacks being cute as always!

Bennett being not afraid of the horse

Ethan and I at Fireworks!

Ethan discovering Grandma's moon roof

After the parade Ethan wasn't feeling the greatest so we decided to sit in the car for the fireworks. Ethan had fun jumping up through grandma's moon roof roaring at all the people who went past walking to the fireworks. He however did say "Hi" to the missionaries. Ethan liked the fireworks at first and was yelling "Boom," everytime one would go off, but towards the middle he said his ears were hurting and he wanted to go home. So he sat in the car and yelled to Grandma to come on. Grandma however said that we had waited this long we were staying till the bitter end. Tough cookies Ethan, sleep in the car. Typical Grandma fashion. It did however work to our advantage because as soon as the finale was over Grandma leaped into the car and we were off. We managed to beat all traffic and we were home within 30 minutes. YEA for us!!! Hope everyone had a great 4th.
